Descripton: Zeke's chapter, "Sub Hunter," describes his period as a TBF pilot aboard USS Card and his attack on U-66 (Markworth) on 3 August, 1943, resulting in damage to the boat, which was sunk thereafter. Zeke's next deployment was in F6Fs aboard Ticonderoga, where he became an 8-plane ace.
