Die Heimfahrt der U-720

Descripton: In this novel, Germany is on the eve of collapse. A U-boat slips its moorings at night with six frogmen on board. The crew look forward to a perilous journey, while the Captain recognizes the IWO as the man who has seduced his young wife. The main theme is a chance encounter between two young people. Many more characters make up the story line. Scenes on the boat are interspersed with scenes ashore.
