'Hascosay' was one of the 'Isles' class of armed trawlers, 145 of which were built (including 16 for Canada) between 1940 and 1944.
545 tons 164' x 27'6"
1 shaft reciprocating steam engine=12 knots
armed: 1 x 12 pdr, 3 x 20mm
Hascosay was built at Beverley by Cook,Welton & Gemmell being launched on 28 March 1944 and completing in May 1944.
She was sold out of naval service in 1947 and was converted to a merchant vessel and renamed 'Ypapandi', registered in Greece. She foundered in the Med. in January 1952.</HTML>
