U-76 was a mine layer submarine it also had her torpedoes on deck.
We found her in 1969 in the Kjøttvika bay in north Norway at 17 meters of wather.
She was abandoned an sunk by her own crew in 1917, and Høvding shipsopphugging scraped her in 1971.
I still have the telephone from the conning area in the U-boat on my office desk, it is made by Siemens and is in Bronze.
