<HTML>Hi all
Does anybody know how he died? Uboat.net has him dying in a fire aboard the Daressalem in Kiel while Clay Blair has him being killed by Allied guerrillas in an ambush on the convoy containing his vehicle. He was on his way to Berlin to give an oral report about his patrol to the Far East and a number of important documents were recovered from his body. These contained U-boat routes into Far Eastern bases. Was this intelligence used in the sinking of any U-boats in the East?
Regards
