Hello friends,
I´m looking for more informations about the sinking of the Svinta on 20.03.1940. We have a discussion at warsailors-forum (http://www.warsailors.com/phorum/read.php?f=1&i=21323&t=10673#reply_21323, see also Svinta in this fine site at vessels hit by U-Boats), but there is still no clear situation about the sinking of this vessel.
It looks like Svinta was not sunk by a sub (U-22 or U-57), but eventually by a mine. The wrack lies at 58˚59'N/02˚35'30''W. Was there any mine barrage in this area?
Thank you
Darius
