The FANY is listed separately due to Dr. Rohwer's assessment that her loss was caused by this attack: [www.uboat.net]

I already did some research on this attack and could identify the attacked destroyer as the RHS IERAX. However, the FANY was lost on 30 July 1942 but it is unclear which U-boat (if any) was responsible for her loss. U-boats claimed the sinking of 14 sailing vessels in the Eastern Mediterranean in July/August 1942 and it is very difficult to identify them.
