Summary

A British captain, attempting to salvage a tarnished career, takes command of a de-mothballed Lend-Lease destroyer and gradually earns the respect of his crew with his fearless battle tactics. As the climax of the movie, the aged destroyer leads a successful attack on the submarine pens of St.-Nazaire.


Notes

Based on the 1942 Allied attack on St. Nazaire, in which the destroyer Campbelltown was loaded with explosives and rammed into the drydock gates. Also called Glory at Sea.
