Everytime I come to this site I am impressed. It is one of the best military history sites on the net.

This is one of the best sites I have ever seen! Absolutely fascinating. And I have to tell you how accurate you are -- my father-in-law was aboard the USS Besugo, the submarine that torpedoed U-183 on 23/4/45 off Java. He said there was one survivor, the executive officer. Sure enough, your database confirms that there was one survivor. However, one book currently in print called, I believe, U-Boat Losses, says there were no survivors. It would be very interesting to find out the name of that survivor, and whether he is still alive today. Maybe your site has that information! I am sure it will steer me in the right direction to research the question.

Again, my congratulations and admiration for uboat.net.

I have never seen a site so well done and kept with so much love, the work you have done is marvelous, is a part of history not to many people really know. What you have done here is very special and I hope the entire world could see your work.

I really enjoy visiting this site to read as much as I can, you have a museum to which people can come and "learn" about history I really hope future generations will benefit from your work.

Congratulations on a beautifully done site; it not only looks great but the contents live up to the appearance. A one-stop shopping center!

My interests where initially raised after seeing the film "Das Boot". I was intriged and wanted to know more about the U Boat war experience and especially about the men who served on them and their daily routines. And I'm convinced this is the site which will answer all my questions. Many congratulations on your site and the overwhelming amount of information. Keep up the good work...

This is, of course, just a fraction of supportive letters uboat.net has received.
