Attacks on U-585 during this patrol

29 Mar 1942
At 06.50 hours, M-171 fired both of its torpedoes from a distance of about 1800 meters at an outbound U-boat in the Varangerfjord and claimed a hit after hearing a detonation. This must have been U-585, which did not report an attack. (Sources: Rohwer)
