9 Apr 1945. While en route from Norway to Kiel U-804 and U-1065 were attacked by a Banff Strike Wing under the Wing Leader Sqn. Ldr. H. H. K. Gunnis, DFC. Both boats exploded during this attack leaving no survivors.
