The boat departed for its only war patrol from Horten, Norway on Oct 8, 1944. 51 days layer on 29 Nov, 1944 the boat landed 2 German agents at Hancock Point in the Gulf of Maine, USA. She then resumed her war patrol and sank the Canadian steamer Cornwallis (5,458 tons) on 3 Dec. She returned to Kristiansand, Norway on 13 Feb, 1945.
