At 18.17 hours, the boat was sighted by Gremyashchiy which was escorting nine ships of convoy PQ-13 off Kildin Island. The destroyer attacked U-435 after she dived with eight small and nine large depth charges, causing no damage. (Sources: Ritschel/Rohwer)
