21st Flotilla


This was the emblem of the 21st Flotilla (training) stationed in the Baltic Sea (Keil, Neustadt and Pillau). I have little information as to what inspired it, if anything. As far as I can see no U-boats displayed this flotilla emblem in the war (since this was a training unit that is not very surprising).
