USS Sargo (Lt.Cdr. P.W. Garnett) torpedoes and sinks the Japanese troop transport Kosei Maru (3551 GRT) east of the Nansei Shoto in position 27º40'N, 130º24'E.

USS Sargo (Lt.Cdr. E.S. Carmick) torpedoes and damages the Japanese transport ship Uchide Maru (5275 GRT) about 120 nautical miles west of Palau in position 08º57'N, 132º52'E. The ship is abandoned the next day and finally sinks on 2 March 1944.
