History Built as Severoles, 1933 renamed Kusnec Lesov 
Notes on loss At 07.28 hours on 23 Nov, 1942, U-601 fired a spread of three torpedoes at the Kusnec Lesov (Master V.A. Tsibulīkin), which was straggling from the convoy QP-15 after a heavy storm. The ship was hit in the forepart with one torpedo and sank within four minutes.
