History  
Notes on loss At 08.55 hours on 8 Mar, 1943, the Guido (Master George Mussared) was torpedoed and sunk by U-633 about 450 miles east-southeast of Cape Farewell. The vessel was a romper 10 miles off the starboard bow of the convoy SC-121. Eight crew members and two gunners were lost. The master, 28 crew members and six gunners were picked up by the US Coast Guard cutter USS Spencer (WPG 36) and landed at Londonderry.
