| Notes on loss | At 08.55 hours on 8 Mar, 1943, the Guido (Master George Mussared) was torpedoed and sunk by U-633 about 450 miles east-southeast of Cape Farewell. The vessel was a romper 10 miles off the starboard bow of the convoy SC-121. Eight crew members and two gunners were lost. The master, 28 crew members and six gunners were picked up by USCGC Spencer (WPG 36) and landed at Londonderry. | ||
