| Notes on loss | At 15.30 hours on 11 Oct, 1943, the unescorted Jalabala (Master James George Conner) was torpedoed and sunk by U-532 west of Cape Comorin, India. Five crew members were lost. The master, 71 crew members and three gunners landed at Calicut on 12 October and Mangalore on 15 October. | ||
