History Completed in January 1927 as Cap à l´Aigle for Canu, Obellianne, Wimille & Cie, Boulogne. In January 1936 sold to Iceland and renamed Reykjaborg (RE 64). 
Notes on event

At 20.52 hours on 10 March 1941, U-552 hit the Reykjaborg (Master Ásmundur Sigurðsson) with a dud and then fired 103 rounds from the deck gun and 592 rounds from the 2cm AA gun at the vessel between 23.14 and 23.47 hours. The trawler sank about 459 miles southeast of Iceland. One of the three survivors that managed to reach a raft died but on 14 March the others were picked up by HMS Pimpernel (K 71) (Lt F.H. Thornton, RNR) escorting convoy OB-296 and later landed at Greenock. She was probably the largest Icelandic-owned trawler at the time.

 
Revisions The master, at the time of sinking, is in some sources listed as Guðmundur Jóhannesson but was in fact Ásmundur Sigurðsson.
