| History | Completed in December 1937 as patrol ship PSK-301 for the NKVD. The ship participated in the Winter war against Finland. On 5 Jan, 1941, renamed Zhemchug (No 27) and on 23 June assigned to the Northern Fleet. | ||
| Notes on loss | At 21.12 hours on 10 Aug, 1941, the Zhemchug (No 27) was hit by one torpedo from U-451 while on patrol duties between Sviatoj Nos Cape and Kanin Nos Cape. The U-boat observed how the ship sank immediately west of Kanin Nos and later saw debris and two survivors, but all hands were lost. Only a life buoy of the ship was found on shore some days later. | ||
