| Notes on loss | At 09.37 hours on 24 Jun, 1942, the unescorted Ljubica Matkovic was hit in the foreship by one torpedo from U-404 after she had been missed by single torpedoes at 08.53 and 09.20 hours. The ship caught fire and sank by the bow within 38 seconds after being hit by a coup de grâce at 09.57 hours. | ||
