| Notes on loss | At 09.27 hours on 2 Aug, 1942, the unescorted Flora II (Master Peter Kristjan Johanes Nielsen) was hit by one torpedo from U-254 and sank within 6 minutes 60 miles southeast of Vestmannaeyar, Iceland. The master, 24 crew members, four gunners and one passenger were picked up from two lifeboats by the Icelandic trawler Juni and landed at Reykjavik. | ||
