History Completed in March 1939 as steam trawler Esquimaux (H 29) for Hull Northern Fishing Co Ltd (Hellyer Bros Ltd), Hull. In August 1939 requisitioned by the Royal Navy and converted to the A/S trawler HMS Alouette (FY 101)
Notes on loss At 03.01 hours on 19 Sep, 1942, HMS Alouette (FY 101) (Lt J.A. Nicholson, RNVR) was torpedoed and sunk by U-552 about 10 miles west of Cape Espichel, Portugal.
