| Notes on loss | At 11.37 hours on 3 Nov, 1942, U-160 attacked the convoy TAG-18 for the third time west of Grenada and sank the Gypsum Empress and Leda. The master, 31 crew members, four gunners and four signalmen from the Gypsum Empress (Master John Smyth Rodgers) were picked up by the Spanish tanker Gobeo and landed at Trinidad on 3 November. | ||
