Fate

Surrendered at Horten, Norway on 8 May, 1945, and transferred to Britain. Became the British submarine N 41. Used for tests. Broken up at Newport in November 1949.

Unlike many other U-boats, which during their service lost men due to accidents and various other causes, U-3017 did not suffer any casualties (we know of) until the time of her loss.
