| Notes on loss | At 22.50 hours on 16 Apr, 1942, U-81 shelled and sank three sailing vessels off Palestine. Two of the vessels were Bab el Farag and Fatouh el Kher, the third could not be identified. On 17 April, U-81 reported another sailing vessel damaged by gunfire off Palestine in grid CP 5953. This vessel could also not be identified. | ||
