History Built as Danish Susan Mærsk for A.P. Møller, Copenhagen. In May 1940, taken over by Britain and transferred to the Ministry of War Transport (MoWT). 
Notes on loss At 01.05 hours on 12 Jun, 1941, U-558 torpedoed a ship which sank within 60 seconds north of the Azores. It must have been the Susan Mærsk (Master Kai Bjorn Thomsen), reported missing after being dispersed from convoy OG-64. The master, 21 crew members and two gunners were lost.
