| History | Completed in July 1929. Norwegian whaler Kos V of Hvalfangerselskap Kosmos A/S (Anders Jahre), Sandefjord, Norway. Displacement: 248 tons. Lent (with Norwegian crew) by the Admiralty from July 1940 onwards as air-sea rescue vessel. Renamed Risør in 1941. Transferred to the Royal Navy in June 1942 and served as ASW vessel for the remainder of the war. Returned to owner in June 1945. |
