HMS Armeria (A/T/Lt.Cdr. H.N. Russell, DSC, RNR) picks up 12 survivors from the British merchant P.L.M. 22 that was torpedoed and sunk the previous day by the German submarine U-123 west-southwest of the Canary Islands in position 25º43'N, 22º47'W. In addition HMS Armenia picked up about 100 additional survivors from other ships of the convoy and took them to other escorts of directly to Freetown (Sierra Leone).

1 Dec 1942
HMS Armeria (Lt. M. Todd, RNR) picks up 27 survivors from the Norwegian merchant Scapa Flow that was torpedoed and sunk on 14 November 1942 south-west of the Cape Verde Islands in position 12º00'N, 30º00'W by the German submarine U-134.
