At 1452 hours ShCh-309 attacks a German convoy west-north-west of Yevpatoriya, Crimea in position 45º17'N, 32º46'E with 3 torpedoes. The German merchant Charkov (6689 GRT, former Russian) and the Bulgarian merchant Varna (2141 GRT) were missed in this attack. (see map)

At 0843 hours ShCh-209 fires three torpedoes against the Hungarian merchant Szeged (594 GRT) off the Bosporus in position 41º17'N, 29º09'E. All torpedoes fired missed their target. (see map)

From 1553-1602 hours Soviet submarine D-4 was spotted by the Soviet submarine Shch-209. D-4 was not heard or seen again.

At 1634hours ShCh-209 fires 4 torpedoes against a German convoy west of Yevpatoriya, Crimea in position 45º13'N, 32º49'E. The German barge F 566 sinks as a result of this attack. (see map)
4 Dec 1943
While on patrol west of Yevpatoriya in position 45º14'N, 32º55'E, ShCh-209 attacks a convoy and fires 2 torpedoes against ' what is identified as ' a merchant of about 1500 GRT. Both torpedoes missed their target.
Following this attack Shch-209 was depth charged by the German auxiliary submarine chasers UJ-102, UJ-103, UJ-307, UJ-2305 and UJ-2308. ShCh-209 was lightly damaged but managed to escape. This attack is often credited with the loss of the Russian submarine D-4 but this is incorrect. (see map)

At 2035 hours ShCh-209 attacks a convoy north-east of the Bosporus in position 41º21'N, 29º18'E and fires 4 torpedoes against the Turkish merchant Kanarya (2363 GRT). All 4 torpedoes missed their target. (see map)
