Pacific fleet, later Northern fleet.

Lost by unknown reasons with all hands (52 men). Possiby sunk during an attack by German submarine chasers near Gambiki on 4 December or mined.

S-55 possibly torpedoed and sank the German merchant Ajax (2297 GRT) off the Kongsfjord in position 70°49'N, 29°30'E.

I have also seen this ship listed as being sunk by S-101.

29 Apr 1943
S-55 torpedoed and sank the German merchant Sturzsee (708 BRT) off Nordkyn.

12 Oct 1943
S-55 torpedoed and sank the German Ammerland (5381 BRT) off the Porsangerfjord in position 70°59'N, 26°26'E.
