HistoryAt 00.14 hours on 9 May 1940, the Doris (Lt.Cdr. J.E.M. Favreul) was torpedoed and sunk about 30 nautical miles west of Petten, Netherlands in position 52º47'N, 03º49'E by the German submarine U-9.
