Scuttled on 5 May 1945 at Hörup Haff. Broken up. 13 dead and 43 survivors.

U-1234 sank at 2300hrs on 14 May, 1944 at Gotenhafen, after colliding in fog with the steam tug Anton. She was raised and repaired and placed in service on 17 Oct, 1944.

Men lost from U-boats

Unlike many other U-boats, which during their service lost men due to accidents and various other causes, U-1234 did not suffer any casualties (we know of) until the time of her loss.
