General notes on this boat
On 26 January, 1943 U-302 had to break off her patrol in the Arctic Sea due to serious technical problems.
Men lost from U-boats
Unlike many other U-boats, which during their service lost men due to accidents and various other causes, U-302 did not suffer any casualties (we know of) until the time of her loss.
