SummaryAs World War II draws to a close, a group of Nazi officials and other Germans flees Oslo in a U-boat, hoping to reach South America. Before they get far the U-boat is depth charged and some of the passengers wounded. They abandon their course and put in on the coast of France, where they kidnap a doctor and force him to care for the injured. The captive physician gradually demoralizes his captors by playing on their doubts and fears.
NotesThis film, using primarily a single set in the manner of Lifeboat, won Best Adventure and Crime Film at the 1947 Cannes Film Festival.
