Destroyer HMS Offa (G 29)

HMS Offa (Lt.Cdr. R.A. Ewing, RN) picks up survivors from the British tanker Atheltemplar that was torpedoed and damaged by the German submarine U-457 southwest of Bear Island.

The wreck of the Atheltemplar and later sunk by the German submarine U-408 with a few rounds from the 88mm gun.
