Patrol description

Formed U-boat group 4 (Stavanger) together with U-4 for Operation Weseruebung, the German invasion of Denmark and Norway. The boat had to return to port shortly after its departure due to technical problems and went missing after leaving again on 6 April, probably lost the same day on a mine west of Helgoland.
