General Events during this patrol

1942

5 Feb 1942. U-105 rescued all seven crewmen of the Dornier Do24T-1 WNr 23 (1. Seenotstaffel, KK+VB) in the North Atlantic about 330 miles north-west of Cape Finisterre, Spain at 1330hrs. The U-boat had survivors from the German blockade runner Spreewald aboard, one of them urgently needed medical aid so the flying boat was sent to pick him up, but crashed during landing at sea. The crew was taken off and the aircraft scuttled.
