Fate

Sank on 24 March 1944 at U-boat base quay in Pillau by accident. 2 dead, unknown number of survivors.

Raised and decommissioned on 12 May 1944, repaired at Danzig and returned to service on 15 August 1944.

Surrendered on 13 May 1945 in the Hohwacht Bay, Germany. Transferred to Wilhelmshaven via Kiel and then to Loch Ryan, Scotland on 23 June 1945.

Sunk on 21 December, 1945 at 56.04N x 09.35W by naval gunfire.

Men lost from U-boats

Unlike many other U-boats, which during their service lost men due to accidents and various other causes, U-1102 did not suffer any casualties (we know of) until the time of her loss.
