HMCS Collingwood (T/Lt. W. Woods, RCNR) picks up 6 survivors from the British merchant Malaya II that was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-564 in the north Atlantic east of Cape Farewell in position 59°56'N, 30°35'W.
