Son of John C. and Emma L. Tucker; husband of Tula Ruth Tucker, of Richland, MO. He served in the US Navy from 26 August 1918 to 22 April 1919 and from 5 March 1943 to 24 June 1945.He was one of the 15 survivors from John D. Gill who were picked up by Robert H. Colley.
