Personal information
John Joseph Gilligan served aboard Merchant Prince from 15 January 1943 until she was torpedoed. He then joined the Stanhill from June to October 1943 and then served aboard Kaikoura from November 1943 to June 1944. John joined Athelviking on 22 November 1944 after having participated in supply runs to the Normandy aboard Fort Carillon since July 1944. He also served on the Barrington Court from February to April 1945.
