Personal information

John Moran, of Scattery Island, Kilrush, Co. Clare, was one of nine survivors from Luimneach who landed in France and were interned by the Vichy French authorities. He was soon released, but found of unsound mind when he arrived in London and admitted to the Fife District Asylum at Cupar until returning to Ireland at the end of 1941.
