| Notes on event | At 07.43 hours on 9 Nov 1942 the unescorted Nurmahal (Master William Robert Gordon) was hit amidships by two torpedoes from U-154 and sank in less than 30 seconds about 300 miles east of Martinique. The U-boat investigated the sinking location, but found no survivors. The master, 83 crew members and four gunners were lost. | ||
