On 28 August 1945, she was decommissioned and leased to the Republic of China, which she served as T'ai Kang. Wyffels was permanently transferred to the Republic of China in February 1948 and was struck from the Navy list on 12 March 1948. Decommissioned 28 August 1945 and leased to China being renamed Tai Kang.
Permanently transferred to the Republic of China in February 1948.
Stricken by the U.S.N. 28 March 1948.
Stricken in 1972 and broke up for scrap.
