Completed as passenger/cargo ship Pampas on 1 February 1944.
Converted to an LSI(L) and commissioned in late 1944 as HMS Persimmon.
Displacement: 12864 tons.

Armament: 1 4" gun, 2 12pdr AA guns (2x1), 8 20mm AA (8x1)
