Around 1745A/2, the damaged light cruiser HMS Phoebe (Capt. C.P. Frend, RN) departed Pointe Noire for Takoradi. She was escorted by the corvettes Commandant d'Estienne d'Orves, FFS Commandant Drogou and the motor launches HMML 244 and HMML 272. (1)
