Charles Ausburne (DD 570), was tranferred to the Federal German Navy on 12 April 1960, under the U.S Military Assistance Program, she was renamed Z-6. Also handed over were five of her sister ships. Anthony (DD 515) Ringgold (DD 500) Wadsworth (DD516) Claxton (DD 571) Dyson (DD 572).
Z-6 was stricken in October 1968 and broken up for scrap.
