Svenner (Lt.Cdr. Tor Holthe) was torpedoed and sunk off Normandy during an attack by the German torpedo boats T 28, Möwe, Falke and Jaguar.
The wreck lies in 31 meters in position 49º27'42"N, 00º15'06"W. 41 Norwegians and 2 British died, 187 of the crew survived.

HMS Ursula (Lt. A.G. Davies, RN) conducted A/S exercises at Scapa Flow with HMS Ursa (Cdr. D.B. Wyburd, DSC, RN), HMS Javelin (Lt.Cdr. P.B.N. Lewis, DSC, RN) and HNoMS Svenner (Lt.Cdr. T. Holte). (1)

5 Apr 1944
In the morning, HMS Rodney (Capt. R.O. Fitzroy, RN), conducted 16" and 6" gunnery exercises.

Later on the day she conducted RIX (rangefinding and inclination) exercises off Scapa Flow during which she was brielfy escorted by HNoMS Svenner (Lt.Cdr. T. Holte). (2)

6 Apr 1944
HMS Trusty (Lt. M.F.R. Ainslie, DSO, DSC, RN) conducts A/S exercises with the Norwegian destroyer HNoMS Svenner (Lt.Cdr. T. Holte) and later with the Greek destroyer RHN Salamis. (3)
