USS Luzon (Lt.Cdr. G.M. Brooke) was scuttled to prevent her capture by the enemy off Corregidor, Philippines in position 14º23'N, 120º35'E
Raised and repaired by the Japanese and renamed Karatsu
Badly damaged on 3 March 1944 by the US submarine USS Narwhal in the Sulu Sea in position 08º55'N, 123º20'E.
Scuttled as blockship at Manila on 3 February 1945
